Kale

Thanks to its heartiness, Green Field Farms Kale is harvested from mid-summer to late fall after most crops have succumbed to an early frost. The unique crinkled leaves of green kale can be seen on many of our Amish produce farms. Kale has grown in popularity because of its cholesterol-lowering ability. This becomes more evident when it is steamed. Kale has also shown the ability to lower the risk of at least five different types of cancer. In addition to raw kale, Green Field Farms also offers Kale Chips in a variety of flavors for a healthy snack.
