Holiday Maple Icing Cookies



2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup oatmeal

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 stick butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 large Green Field Farms Eggs

1/3 cup Green Field Farms Maple Syrup

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 teaspoon maple extract

1 cup chopped pecans

Maple Icing:

2 tablespoons butter

1/3 cup Green Field Farms Maple Syrup

1 cup confectioner’s sugar

1/4 teaspoon maple extract



  1. Mix dry ingredients (flour, oatmeal, & baking soda). Cream butter, sugar, and Green Field Farms Eggs together in separate bowl, then add Green Field Farms Maple Syrup, and extracts. Mix thoroughly. Add to dry ingredients, mix well.  Add pecans and mix until spread throughout batter.
  2. Cover and chill the dough for 2 hours.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F, then wetting hands slightly, roll dough into balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake each batch 12 minutes or until lightly brown on all sides.

Maple Icing:

In a small saucepan melt butter, Green Field Farms Maple Syrup, and maple extract together. Remove from heat and whisk in confectioner’s sugar. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
